Cuban Cigars

What is a Reserva Series Cigar?

Habano News Episode 6

Reserva series or Reserve series are Cuban cigars made by Habanos. It started in 2003 a box of Mixed Cohiba cigars and since then there were 8 other boxes made. The tobacco used to make these cigars is aged a minimum of 3 years, unlike Limited Editions which are made with tobacco aged for 2 years and Gran Reservas with tobacco aged a minimum of 5 years. Reserva cigars hold a silver and black second band, on top of the standard production band. There are only 5,000 numbered boxes made every 2 years containing 20 cigars for the whole world, making them highly sought after cigars for aficionados and collectors. The particularity of the Reserva cigars is that the year of harvest (cosecha) of the tobacco is indicated on the box.
